Path of a Hero aims to provide a better way to express and share the journey of your World of Warcraft character. For more information take a look at the Features.

The idea, design and implementation comes from a single person with two identities.

Aaron Vernon of Melbourne

I am a Software Engineer from Melbourne, Australia. and the Director of CrystalPearl Solutions a boutique software development company.

My most recent job was at Austhink Software where I worked with C# and web 2.0 technologies.

For a long time I really wanted to be a Game Programmer but after working at Red Tribe and Team Bondi, I realised the games industy was just not for me... I never stopped enjoying games though.

I did however manage to get my name in the credits of Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal.

I read Penny Arcade and Hacker News religiously. I listen to World of Warcast and Silicon Beach podcasts.

My favourite languages/frameworks at the moment are Python/Django and Actionscript 3/Flex. I enjoy keeping up to date with the cutting edge of web development.

I am creating this site to scratch my own itch; hopefully it will scratch yours too :P.

Gloroth of Khaz'goroth

Gloroth is a human mage from the server Khaz'goroth. He reached level 70 at the beginning of 2008 and then raided for about 6 months.

In that time he managed to make the following progress

He has now battled his way to level 80 and is gearing up in Heroics. He is very excited about getting back into raiding in the near future.

His aim is to use Path of a Hero to track his path through the Northrend raids.

It seems that you've been living two lives. One life, you're Thomas A. Anderson, program writer for a respectable software company. You have a social security number, pay your taxes, and you... help your landlady carry out her garbage. The other life is lived in computers, where you go by the hacker alias "Neo" and are guilty of virtually every computer crime we have a law for. One of these lives has a future, and one of them does not.
